🚚 Shipping Information – Richards Bay Pet Shop

At Richards Bay Pet Shop, we offer reliable and safe shipping across South Africa, by means of The Courier Guy.

📦 Processing Order & Time:
Orders are processed within 1–2 working days after payment received.
We place our orders every Thursday & Friday (should we need the stock), and it gets sent to us on a Monday or Tuesday, to be received no later than Wednesday.
Upon receiving the livestock, we place all livestock in our quarantine tanks until the next Monday, when we send it out to the client. This way we are sure no livestock, or any stock for that matter, will sit in the courier company's warehouse over a weekend. 
This is also our way of checking on any livestock, making sure that when we send them off, you will receive good products.

Live plants & Extras are shipped only from Monday to Wednesday to avoid weekend delays.

If there are out-of-stock items, the delay can be up to 2 weeks or longer, but rest assured, we will be in contact with you throughout the entire process to work on your order.

🚛 Delivery Options:

  • Nationwide Courier Delivery (door-to-door / pudo)

  • Livestock, Plants & Extras Shipping: Carefully packed to ensure safe arrival.

  • Tracking: You’ll receive tracking details via email and or WA once your order has been dispatched.

  • At Richards Bay Pet Shop, we take great care in packaging your items to ensure they arrive safely. However, we regret to inform you that due to circumstances beyond our control once the package is handed over to the courier, we cannot guarantee the condition of fragile items, during transit. 

  • All livestock shipment includes a polystyrene box. NO Livestock will be allowed to be send without the polystyrene box. (If using your own courier, this fee still applies.

  • Local Collection

    • Free collection available in Richards Bay
    • Must be arranged in advance via WhatsApp or email

📍 Delivery Areas:
We deliver nationwide across South Africa. Remote areas may experience slightly longer delivery times.

🚛 Shipping Fees

  • Shipping via courier: R120 – R350+, depending on order
  • Additional charges may apply for:
    • Heavy or oversized items
    • Outlying or high-risk areas

If additional charges apply:

  • You will be contacted before shipment
  • You may choose to proceed or cancel
