Plan your fish's home first

The included bowl should not be treated as a complete, long-term goldfish home. Goldfish need space as they grow, suitable filtration and safe water. Ask us to help you choose a tank and equipment for the type of goldfish you want to keep.

Getting the water ready

Use the anti-chlorine treatment according to its label. Removing chlorine is only one step: your aquarium's filter also needs time to develop the helpful bacteria that process fish waste. Test the water and confirm the setup is ready before adding fish.

Feeding made simple

Follow the food's feeding instructions, offer small portions and remove uneaten food. More food is not better; leftovers can make the water dirty.

Choosing tank mates

Check with us before mixing goldfish with other fish. Suitable companions depend on the goldfish variety, tank space and water conditions. Avoid adding extra fish just because there appears to be room in the bowl.

Keeping things clean

Maintain the filter, test the water regularly and carry out partial water changes using appropriately treated water. Ask our team for a simple maintenance routine for your chosen aquarium.
