Reneckii Rosaefolia

Planning a new planted aquarium or refreshing your layout? Reneckii Rosaefolia from Richards Bay Pet Shop is a plant to discuss with our team when matching your planting choices to your setup. Ask us to confirm the supplied variety, size and growing requirements before ordering.

Preparing your plant

Gently rinse and inspect the plant before adding it to your aquarium. If supplied in a pot, carefully remove the pot and packing material from around the roots. Confirm the appropriate planting method for the supplied plant, leaving space for growth and access for maintenance.

Lighting and nutrition

Check that your aquarium lighting suits the confirmed variety. Ask whether your substrate, fertiliser routine or CO2 setup needs adjusting before buying. Use aquarium-safe plant nutrition according to its instructions rather than adding extra doses to encourage faster growth.

Water and maintenance

Confirm suitable temperature and water conditions for the supplied plant. Keep conditions stable, maintain regular partial water changes and remove deteriorating leaves. Trim growth as needed and allow time for the plant to adjust after planting.

Livestock compatibility

Fish that dig or eat plants can disturb your layout. Consider your existing livestock when choosing where to plant it. If keeping shrimp or other sensitive animals, ask about any treatments used on the plant and suitable preparation before introducing it.

Tell the Richards Bay Pet Shop team about your lighting, substrate and livestock so we can help you decide whether this plant suits your aquarium. Never release aquarium plants into natural waterways.
