The listed options are Golden ghostknife, Black ghostknife XL, Black ghostknife 6 cm and Black ghostknife 12 cm. The previous listing also notes 6.5 cm without identifying which option it describes. Please confirm the supplied size before ordering, especially for Golden and XL options. Exact species identification for the Golden option should also be confirmed.

Plan the aquarium first

Ask our team to confirm adult size and suitable tank dimensions for your chosen fish. Purchase size is not a guide to the space it will need when fully grown. Provide an established, filtered aquarium with suitable shelter and clear swimming space. Confirm the appropriate layout and lighting for the supplied species.

Water care

Check the required temperature, pH and water hardness before bringing your fish home. Use suitable equipment to maintain stable conditions, test the water regularly and carry out partial water changes with appropriately treated water. Follow species-specific acclimation guidance and use a separate quarantine setup where possible.

Feeding

Ask which foods and feeding routine suit the selected fish. Offer suitable portions and make sure food reaches it, rather than relying on leftovers from other fish. Watch its appetite as it settles, and remove uneaten food before it spoils.

Tank mates

Do not assume every ghost knife option is suitable for a small community aquarium. Check compatibility with very small fish, shrimp, aggressive fish and other knife fish before combining them. Consider the adult size, behaviour and water needs of every companion.
