Choosing a spot

A tall plant can work well towards the back or sides of your aquarium. Leave room for growth and keep open swimming space for your fish. Confirm the variety's full-grown size before choosing its position.

Planting made simple

Gently remove any pot and packing material, then rinse and inspect the plant. For rooted Vallis plants, cover the roots with suitable aquarium gravel or plant soil while keeping the point where the leaves meet the roots above the surface.

Light and plant food

Use aquarium plant lighting on a regular daily timer. Choose aquarium-safe plant food and follow the label rather than adding extra if growth seems slow. Ask us which lighting and root-feeding options suit the variety and your setup.
